Removing package octave-vibes
Hi,
I am wondering if we should remove package octave-vibes from Debian. This
package only makes sense when used together with the VIBES Viewer [1],
which has never been packaged for Debian. Furthermore, the package
currently FTBFS [2]. This is caused by the fact that the VIBES API uses
the file $HOME/.vibes.json to communicate with the VIBES server. Since
the Debian autobuilders set HOME="/nonexistent/" [3], then the unit tests
for octave-vibes fail.
I am not going to the trouble of fixing the octave-vibes package, neither
packaging VIBES for Debian.
If nobody objects, I will file the request for removal.
Best,
Rafael Laboissière
