Hi, Since several people on the list have expressed their interest in helping for the transition to Octave 3.6, I have created a section on our wiki page [1] to facilitate the coordination of the collaborative work. As there are many small packages to be modified, the idea is to split packages across people. If you want to help, add your name at some place(s) in the last column next to your favorite 'Forge package(s), and start hacking. For an upload to unstable, you will have to wait for Octave 3.6.1 and octave-pkg-dev >= 0.7.5 being uploaded there (this should happen soon). An upload to experimental is already possible: it has Octave 3.4.3, which does not differ much from Octave 3.6.1, except for a SOVERSION bump (liboctave0 => liboctave1). Also, in order to get write access to the git repositories, you need to create an account on Alioth and then ask Thomas to be added to our project there [2].
