Package: Octaviz.
Architecture: i386
Version: 0.4.7-2

When I try to use octaviz, I see the this:

octave:1> vtk_init
error: libvtkCommon.so.5.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
octave:1>

or this

spac@localhost:/usr/share/doc/octaviz/examples$ octave Cone.m
GNU Octave, version 3.0.5

For information about changes from previous versions, type `news'.

error: libvtkCommon.so.5.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
error: near line 13 of file `Cone.m'

I have libvtk5 installed in my system (libvtk 5.2.1-3).

I suggest that octaviz must be recompiled using libvtk 5.2 (I try this, but there are
some errors during compilation)

I'm using Debian Sid, Linux 2.6.29-1-686 i686 GNU/Linux

The octaviz package has been removed from Debian so we are closing
the bugs that were still opened against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/535537 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.

Kind regards,
