[Pkg-octave-devel] Bug#538043: marked as done (octplot doesn't work with the current version of octave in "testing")

has caused the Debian Bug report #538043,
regarding octplot doesn't work with the current version of octave in "testing"
to be marked as done.

This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with.
If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the
Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith.

When I try to activate the octplot I get the following message:
octave:1> toggle_octplot
error: Octplot was compiled for a different version of Octave
error: evaluating if command near line 40, column 3

The reason are the lines 40-42 in the file octplot_enable.m:
  if(strcmp(version(),"3.0.1")==0)
    error("Octplot was compiled for a different version of Octave");
  endif

The octplot will run only with octave 3.0.1, while current octave version in
testing is 3.0.5
In the dependencies of octplot we find: "Depends: octave3.0 (>= 3.0.1)" -
which does not agree with the above code.

The octplot package has been removed from Debian so we are closing
the bugs that were still opened against it.
