has caused the Debian Bug report #408188,
regarding octave2.1-forge: legend doesn't wait long enough for gnuplot
to be marked as done.

This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with.
If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the
Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith.

When calling legend on a gnuplot diagram, legend.m times out.
Increasing the number at line 186 of legend.m from 20 to 100 makes it
work for me, but I imagine that on other (slower?) systems, this won't
be sufficient and there's a more general problem.

I found a mailing list message about a similar race condition with the
test that the file has been written directly below, but nothing about
this. In any case, I didn't find a solution for either problem.

The octave2.1-forge package has been removed from Debian so we are closing
the bugs that were still opened against it.
