Thanks for this work.  In have two comments on the above:

* Are you sure that there is an arm autobuilder for packages in
  experimental?  For instance, octave3.1 has not been autobuilt on arm
  (http://experimental.ftbfs.de/build.php?arch=&pkg=octave3.1).

* My recollection is that armel will replace arm in Debian.  Check with the
  debian-release people whether this is true before investing too much energy
  on the arm problems.
