Package: octave3.0
Version: 1:3.0.1-6
Severity: normal
It is very good that the Debian gnuplot now has pdfcairo output, but it
doesn't seem to work perfectly with octave. The following works fine in
gnuplot:
set terminal pdfcairo
set output "plot.pdf"
plot [0:1] x
and it gives a very nice pdf. The pdf page size fits perfectly around
the plot.
When I try print("plot.pdf", "-dpdfcairo") after making a plot in
octave, I get a large portrait a4 or letter format page, with the
plot at the bottom. In addition, the file will be called
"pdfcairo:plot.pdf". When I use the other print devices, e.g. eps
or png, then the output page format is correct.
Best regards,
Torquil Sørensen

I'm closing the bug. Your gnuplot version is a development snapshot.
Thanks
