Dear Octave maintainers,

The bug report reproduced below has been filed against the Debian
package and regards the upstream sources. The report is recorded at
http://bugs.debian.org/492168

Thanks,

Package: octave3.0
Version: 1:3.0.1-4
Severity: minor

The doc for shading say that three values are avalaible: flat, interp,
faceted. I understand the first and last, but the middle one is
apparently like faceted. I could help rewrite the docs if someone can
explain me how.

One more thing: the pcolor command starts by default as faceted. I find
this very ugly and unclear. Is this really intentional? I would
definitely use flat as the default.
