Well, I would not say that "Octave has a map function" but rather that "the
octave-miscellaneous package provides a map function".  The map() function
is by no means standard in Octave.

I think that this discussion is somehow moot, because the maintainer of
rgbplot has the right to call the argument "map" since there is no name
clash inside the function.
