In principle yes. /usr/bin/octave-config points
to /etc/alternatives/octave-config which probably points to a wrong
version of octave-config-2.1.x.

Ehm, Octaviz needs octave2.1. That said, the latest version of octave2.9
is 2.9.5-4, which has been built for m68k and is currently sitting in
incoming.

Anyway, can you send me the output of the 'ls' commands from my last
message?
