Indeed. There seems to be 80 remaining packages that are affected by this issue.

Factoring out the common code is indeed a good idea. But this needs some thought. On the other hand, fixing the existing packages is simple enough, and looks more urgent.

Are you going to submit a bug for each broken package? I think I can automate things, but it depends on whether there is a bug to close each time.
