This is what I did (on a Debian testing machine):
> sudo pbuilder create --basetgz /var/cache/pbuilder/stretch.tgz --distribution stretch
> dget -d http://deb.debian.org/debian/pool/main/u/unison/unison_2.48.3-1.dsc
> sudo pbuilder build --basetgz /var/cache/pbuilder/stretch.tgz unison_2.48.3-1.dsc
These instructions should work for you as well...
