Ack. Given the situation, could a new version of unison for stable be a
worthwile candidate for something to go in a point release?


AFAIK, this plan requires also a new version of OCaml stable which is a
no-go. That's I've mentioned the idea of backporting OCaml 4.02.3 and
use it to backport Unison 2.48. Possibly, Unison 2.48 in backports won't
have the gtk interface to reduce the number of packages to backport.
