Bug#827218: liquidsoap daemon mode cannot use alsa
Package: liquidsoap
Version: 1.1.1-7+b1
When using a *.liq script in /etc/liquidsoap that uses alsa there are 2
problems, emitting a
"Thread "input.alsa_6043" aborts with exception Alsa error: No such file
or directory!"
error to the logfile.
1) The home directory /usr/share/liquidsoap is not writeable by user
liquidsoap,
2) The user liquidsoap is not a member of the "audio" group.
Changing both settings allowed me to run my scripts successfully.
Not sure if the following is useful information:
I also have pulseaudio installed, but I did not test the setup with
pulseaudio. I just disabled pulseaudio by setting autospawn = no in
/etc/pulse/client.conf
