I've been unable to reproduce this build failure. The "with-c" passes 
with success in the two
cases here ("native" and "byte"). Are you able to reproduce this build 
failure outside Jenkins
and directly using cowbuilder or pbuilder? Or, provide us the produced 
log files to be able to
investigate further? Or, better, the full build directory.

My full build log is attached.

If I don't have a way to reproduce this bug, I guess I'll downgrade the 
severity to important.
