I also have a pair of packages to update (sexplib, type-conv, bin-prot,
ounit). Since some of them will break the distribution and should
trigger the need to binNMU some other packages, I am not sure how to
proceed: 1) upload new version during the transition, 2) do it before
and ask for binNMU or 3) do it before and don't ask for binNMU
1) let us use the transition binNMU for ocaml 3.12 upgrade and package
upgrade which makes sense because some new versions are here to fix 3.12
build. But with 1), if something fails we will have a longer 3.12
upgrade.
2) should be the standard path outside the 3.12 upgrade but can delay
significantly the start of the upgrade
3) will let unstable in a broken state until the transition finished...
What should I (we) do?
