Re: Hevea \today debian linux bug

Hello!

Thanks for your quick answer. I just not examined the hevea debian package carefully, and i missed the /usr/share/hevea/xxdate.exe script file.

However, I suggest to add an extra example beside the /usr/share/doc/hevea/examples/date to let linux users see, how to compile.

In the meantime, I run into another date problem using \the\year :

Warning: Command not found: \the
Warning: Command not found: \year

Thanks to Ralf for his answer.
A small add-on: the relevant section of the manual is available online:

I run into a bug when i begun to use the "\today" or any other date
like commands. (\year, \currentdate, etc..)

I got the following warning message:

Warning: \today needs '-exec xxdate.exe' option

On linux, I can't solved the problem. I don't know if it is linux
bug, or debian-port bug.

There is no bug. You just have to do what the warning message tells you.
Please read section B16.3 of the reference manual.
