dh_ocaml warning messages for bytecode?

When I build the approx package for a bytecode-only arch (actually an
amd64, but with ocamlopt temporarily removed), dh_ocaml produces a
list of warnings:
    W: approx doesn't resolve dependency on unit Approx
    W: approx doesn't resolve dependency on unit Config_file
    W: approx doesn't resolve dependency on unit Gc
    W: approx doesn't resolve dependency on unit Patch
    W: approx doesn't resolve dependency on unit Util
and so on, for each module in the program.  The package seems OK, though.

These warnings don't occur when building the native-code version.
Can someone explain what's going on?  Thanks.
