Yes, that's right.

That's strange, because I think I was getting the same result when running
edos-debcheck on that Packages as when running it against individual (i.e.
arch-specific) Packages.

I wrote a script that given a .changes file it checks if introducing the
packages referenced by it would cause an installability problem (I know I
should be using -checkonly, but I don't remember the reason why I ended up
omitting it :-/)

Multiple architectures come into play when multiple .changes files are specified
and they are of different architectures. For most people that might be
uncommon, but when checking the built packages before releasing a DSA it comes
handy to check all the architectures at the same time.
