Package: mldonkey-server
Version: 2.9.5-2
Severity: normal

1) In etch mldonkey was started with mldonkey_server ...
In lenny mldonkey_server is gone. README.Debian should have had
a brief and simple write up on what the user must use in place
If you are going to do this (change interfaces, a bad thing
in any software development) to your users, it is a very good
idea also to advice them how to cope with it. After some
searching through the man pages one finds mlnet. Aparently
this is the userspace command (if I am not mistaken) that
replaces mldonkey_server. This should have been documented
   in README.Debian

2) In etch mldonkey would download (commit) files to
~/.mldonkey/incoming . In lenny the files seem to dissapear
somewhere (if the server is started as root using the
init scripts provided as part of the package) till you
figure out that they are in /var/lib/mldonkey. Shouldn't
this change have been documented clearly in
README.Debian instead of letting your user ferret it out.

3) While there are plenty of docs in the "docs" and "distrib" directories in
/usr/share/doc/mldonkey-server folders, these are mostly of relavance
to developers/hackers rather than an average user. Also your notes in
README.Debian are not appropriate for an user trying to understand
how to run and use the mldonkey server in debian. They may certainly
be useful once the user has managed to run and use MLdonkey and then
wants to tweak it to his/her preference. Such information must be
provided clearly particularly, in view of the tendency of the
mldonkey server package, to change its interface through sarge,
   etch and lenny.

Kindly improve quality of Debian specific user documentation in view of
the above.
