Something like:
find . '(' -type f -not -name '.*' -not -name Makefile -not -name configure -not -name lpsrc ')' -print0 | xargs --null rm -f
find . -mindepth 1 -depth '(' -type d -not -name '.*' ')' -print0 | xargs --null rmdir --ignore-fail-on-non-empty
