precisely this Makefile do Work :

OCAMLMAKEFILE=/usr/share/ocaml-tools/OCamlMakefile
INCDIRS = +labltk +lablgl
LIBS = labltk togl lablgl

RESULT=gears
SOURCES=gears.ml

-include $(OCAMLMAKEFILE)



then
make 
produce the executable "gears" from gears.ml using the OCAMLMAKEFILE
and lablgl.
