You might look at the bibtex2html package where autoconf was used to by
upstream to compile either for native or byte code (though it is an earlier
version than was announced recently on the ocaml list).

(section "Miscellaneous") Sven, are you intending to include it in the ocaml
package? Since it is not very large a separate package wouldn't make much
sense.
