OSI grant?
The Open Society Institute is funding open source software development
projects focused on (from the RFP):
Sectors of interest:
* human rights
* legal services for disadvantaged groups
* NGO support
* independent news media
* anti-corruption
* public health (disease and issue-specific)
The overall initative is called the "ICT Toolsets" and the RFP asks
for proposals (ideally with co-funding) at the 50-200,000 level.

I'd love to help draft a grant for debian-np or a focused independent media
distribution (p2p/edge dist. tools?) application proposal.
