Debian Conference in Australia

The Debian mini Conference at Linux Conference Australia 2002 is a
small gathering of various Debian developers and users in the region,
directly preceeding the Australian national Linux conference, both
will be held at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, in Australia.
The Debian mini Conference will take place from 4th to 5th of February,
and Linux Conference Australia will take place from 6th to 9th.

At this Debian mini Conference, short talks on various topics,
discusions of future goals for the Debian project, a keysigning party,
a general debate and socialising are planned.  Anthony Towns, Russel
Coker, Bdale Garbee, Brendan O'Dea and Steve Kowalik from Debian have
signed up for a presentation and the entire schedule looks like:

Monday, February 4th

     9:55-10:00 James Bromberger: Welcome
    10:00-11:00 Steve Kowalik: Lintian
    11:00-12:00 Jason Andrade: Mirroring Debian
    13:00-14:00 Key Signing Party
    14:00-15:00 Brendan O'Dea: Perl Games

Tuesday, February 5th

    10:00-11:00 Russell Coker: Portslave (and perhaps a bit of NSA SE Linux)
    11:00-12:00 Bdale Garbee: Dealing w/i386 bigotry (porting)
    13:00-14:00 Anthony Towns: The Upcoming Woody Release
    14:00-15:00 Panel: Woody++ Goals and objectives

We invite all interested people in that area to attend this
conference, meet Debian developers and users, exchange GnuPG
fingerprints, discuss various topics on Debian and Free Software, and
otherwise participate in our vibrant community.
