Andrea Bolognani: Advocate

I fully support Andrea Bolognani <eof@kiyuko.org>'s request to become a Debian
Developer, uploading.

Most of the time my interaction has been around libvirt or virtualization in
general. Guido already mentioned the well done modification and addition of
the related packages, he is right but I'll not just repeat the same. Instead
I'll focus a bit on other, more social, aspects that I also consider important
to be a great contributor.

Whenever I worked with Andrea he was aware of the wider ecosystem, and thereby
brought great expertise to consider implications of our packaging. For
example, every now and then he is aware of upstream changes that would cause an
issue - he is proactive in preparing and discussing the required changes in a
timely fashion before they become a real problem.

Andrea stays up to date and is usually aware of changes in the Debian policy
and common patterns to handle things in debian/*, thereby keeping the packaging
in a modern well maintainable state.

In our interactions he furthermore hit the right level of confidence all the
time. When something is unclear he puts the topic up for discussion, but if he
is sure you'll most likely see a PR that handles all of it fully prepared. I
like this style of confidence when appropriate, but open for discussion and
tests when in doubt - it helps copperating in a remote work world.

I furthermore applaud him for his true "care for the user and have no barrier"
attitude. From his work in Fedora to the occasional ping to me in Ubuntu, he is
the true embodyment of FOSS cooperation for the better of everyone.

I have personally worked with Andrea Bolognani <eof@kiyuko.org>
(key 99E91684515735AC059870696863EF9F8CFE190D) for several years by now.
Recently mostly via email and gitlab, but also occasionally via IRC
on upstream virtualization topics and - now ages ago ?2020? - in person at
the KVM forum conference. His technical and social behavior was always
exemplary and therefore I believe he can be trusted to be a full member
of Debian, and have full, unsupervised, unrestricted upload to the archive
right now.
