I support Xiyue Deng <manphiz@gmail.com>'s request to become a Debian Maintainer.
I have worked with Xiyue Deng on Debian Emacs addons packaging for more than
one year and I consider him as having sufficient technical competence.
Xiyue already has push access to all Debian Emacsen team repos on salsa.
I look only briefly over Xiyue's commits before uploading, and when it is not
immediately obvious why something has been done, in most cases I just defer to
Xiyue's judgement as maintainer.
I think that Xiyue is well qualified to upload the packages he already
maintains. I think he has some distance to go before becoming a DD.
In the hope that he continues to learn and advance towards that goal, I hope
that he will continue to seek review from teammates for non-routine updates.
I trust Xiyue to know when to ask instead of just uploading.
