For nm.debian.org, at 2024-02-26:
I support Thomas Ward <teward@ubuntu.com>'s request to become a Debian Developer, uploading.

I work with Thomas Ward regularly on the Lubuntu project, but also admire his work on the nginx package(set), and other work within the Server realm.

Thomas has been a colleague of mine since I started in the open source world, 8 years ago. We have been through countless, incredibly trying times together and I had zero hesitation in saying "yes" to Thomas' request for my advocation. His resilience, perspicacity, and tireless efforts prove to me, on a daily basis, that he is ready for a role such as this.

In recent times, I have worked with Thomas in his roles as Lubuntu Team Lead and a member of the Ubuntu Community Council, although I am aware of his role on the Ubuntu Server Team. It is important to us, as the Lubuntu project, to contribute as much as we reasonably can back to Debian. Thomas is exemplary of this effort, and it is a privilege to work with him.

I have personally worked with Thomas Ward <teward@ubuntu.com> (key 5792F66164D057EFC6D06FAF5B8AD6F4C26ADDDD) for 8 years, and I know Thomas Ward can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now. My condolences to the AM who takes this application on... in all seriousness, granting these rights to Thomas will, in my sincere opinion, greatly benefit the Debian project.
