I support Christopher Obbard <obbardc@gmail.com>'s request to become a
Debian Developer, uploading. I have worked with Christopher Obbard on multimedia
packages (qpwgraph and fluster) and on embedded related packages (rkdeveloptool
and qdl) for over 6 months. He took over the maintenance (upstream and debian
sides) of debos and fakemachine. I consider him as having clearly sufficient
technical competence.
When I reviewed his packages, they were in a very good state, I had no comment,
not even nitpicks. I just had to do the administrative part (debsign + dput).
He maintains his packages in a good state and quickly packages new upstream
releases as well as fixes bugs.
I know his desire to package more software for Debian. Before doing a package,
Chris deals with upstream to be sure required changes are directly integrated
upstream allowing to keep the packaging as simple as possible. This is a really
nice and healthy behavior.
Chris encourages his colleagues at Collabora working on Debian derivatives to
forward all of their changes to Debian to be sure all can benefit from this
work and to support collaborative work. I really enjoy working with Chris,
giving him the status of DD will be beneficial to Debian.
I have personally worked with Christopher Obbard <obbardc@gmail.com>

time and I know Christopher Obbard can be trusted to be a full member of Debian,
