I support Vivek K J <vivekkj@protonmail.com>'s request to become a Debian Maintainer.
I have worked with Vivek K J on Javascript team packages.
for a few months and I consider them as having sufficient technical competence.
I have sponsored some JS team packages like node-peek-readable, node-token-types and
node-tslib for Vivek and almost
always found the quality of his packages to be near perfect.
Have reviewed some of his other packages as well (which I did not sponsor) and found
them to be mostly in good shape.
Also saw him doing proper rebuilds for reverse-dependencies of relatively important
packages when updating to non-trivial version and so he seems to understand potential
breakeages well and helps prevent it.
Overall, I believe Vivek should become a DM effectively, right now.
