Pierre-Elliott Bécue: Advocate

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

I support Pierre-Elliott Bécue <becue@crans.org>'s request to become
Debian Developer, uploading.

I have worked with Pierre-Elliott Bécue on packaging and maintaining
Mailman3 for Debian for at least nine months. We worked together very
closely, often having lenghty IRC chats while developing and debugging.
Pierre-Elliott showed that he has high principles regarding the quality
of Debian packages and software in general. He takes care not only of
the Mailman3 packages themselves but also jumps in and takes care when
(build-)dependencies get buggy or outdated. While patching and fixing
numberous python libraries and their test-suites he showed great technical
knowledge.

Since some months already, Pierre-Elliott has uploading rights for the
Mailman3 packages. Still he always asks for reviews before doing uploads,
which I consider as a very nice habit. In my eyes, Pierre-Elliott is a
very nice team player and I really enjoy working together with him in a
team.

Besides, I'm super happy to see that Pierre-Elliott becomes more and more
active in other realms of Debian. My impression is that he's really eager
to contribute to the Debian project and that he wants to push the project
in general forward.

So the bottom line is: I have personally worked with Pierre-Elliott Bécue
<becue@crans.aorg> (key 9AE04D986400E3B67528F4930D442664194974E2) for more
than nine months, and I know Pierre-Elliott Bécue can be trusted to be a
full member of Debian, and have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights,
right now.
