I advocated Brett for his DD application; FD indicated they'd prefer him
to initially go via the DM route. I am glad he has decided to do this. I
believe he has the technical ability to be a good asset to the project
and is already part of our community (he is well known amongst the
Debian UK crowd, for example). I have previously been a user of his
packages (back when he was maintaining the AudioScrobbler plugin for
xmms) and found him responsive to any issues I had.
