I believe that Tobias Hamp (85BA 6847 5220 E669 63B1 22E8 B488 E3AA 46FC 0C03) has the technical skills needed to maintain Debian packages.
He is sufficiently experienced to benefit from becoming a Debian Maintainer and gaining new independence.
I have worked with Tobias for several years at the Technical University of Munich, on the packages he now would like to maintain himself.
Tobias is skilled in packaging Java, Python and C code. He is a thorough person, with an eye for details. Tobias is restless until a
satisfactory solution is found, and is able to follow guidance from a mentor, or from the policy. Tobias has always been pleasant to communicate
with. He is enthusiastic about contributing to Debian.
I recommend the Debian project accepts Tobias as a Debian maintainer.
