Hi Debian Frontdesk people, I'm quite happy that Gert applied as Debian Maintainer and I actually was hoping he would do this earlier. Gert is an active member of the Debian Med team and is doing a great job in packaging the software he is upstream as well. He has gained good packaging skills and does not need any advise to maintain these packages. Besides this Gert is really helpfull if it comes to other problems in team maintained packages and I really appreciate his insight and help when it comed to medical imaging or some C++ issues. Working together with Gert in the Debian Med team is just fun. So I hereby fully support his intent to become a Debian Maintainer. Kind regards Andreas.
