I support Hannes' application. Ever since our first contact, he's
been actively helping out with logcheck maintenance, to the point
where he is currently the main maintainer.

Through his work and the changes he proposed and led, he has
displayed a solid understanding of what he is doing. While I cannot
really say anything about his packaging skills — I only know his
work on logcheck — I would not be surprised if he approached other
tasks with the same rigour. DM seems like the logical next step for
him, and the time is right.

In the beginning, Hannes would prefer to seek a second opinion on
what he planned to do, but as his experience level rose, he started
to feel more comfortable making decisions of his own. I think this
is a very good basis for collaboration, and I am looking forward to
him joining our team.

Please consider.
