To whom it may concern, I am one of Heiko's sponsors and can report that he is sufficiently technical to become a maintainer of his packages, that is he friendly and communicating well, thus of benefit to Debian at large. I should also mention that Heiko is pro-active on the mailing list towards an ever better running Debian on the FreePhone. His postings on the OpenMoko mailing list(s) happened to impress me even considerably more than the (completely painless) packaging work ... well, it is more interesting :) So, please enable him to play out his exceptional skills more easily and accept him as a DM now ... and as a DD somewhen later, so I hope.
