Hello,
Could you please add me as Debian maintainer ?
I strongly oppose to it.
Adam has shown since he contributes to Debian en masse, a lot of
deficiencies that render him IMHO a bad candidate for DM.
He doesn't get well along quite a lot of Debian Developers which
isn't
great, and usually shows a very aggressive attitude, [0] is a good
example of that.
He repeats at lengths that he cares way more about quantity rather
than quality, and always choses to upload new packages instead of
fixing
bugs, and all what he cares about is that a new upstream enters
unstable, now matter how. See for yourself in [1] where he does lots of
errors a *beginner* would not do, whereas he's contributing for more
than 18 months. Another example is [2], an RC bug he didn't even took
the hassle to acknowledge. Unanswered for months.
Finally, I won't provide the pointers for it, but it's not hard to
fine, his attitude during (the still ongoing) wx2.8 issue has been more
than questionable. I think it's not hard to find quotes where he says
that he's capable of uploading any wx2.8 package to unstable because he
needs it as a rdep, but does not really care about maintaining it. He
has shown a really bad and aggressive attitude in the already tense
"discussions".
IOW, I don't think Adam is responsible enough for the DM status.
Cheers,
