I would support the DM status of Charles Plessy. He does great
work for the Debian-Med project and has proven countless times that
he has understand philosophy and packaging techniques that are

Please give some examples so other folks reading on can get some hints
how to do do equally great work :)

In my eyes an often overlocked but quite important and valuable work
is that Charles is very responsible and gives reasonable advise on
the Debian-Med mailing list (which can be verified in the list
archive). I would even say that he took over my role of "the
answering guy" ;-) on this mailing list when I had reduced my
activity in 2006.

There is probably also no need to mention the list of his packages
that can be easily viewed at qa.debian.org and was just linked from
Nelson A. de Oliveira.

Charles was one of the driving forces for group maintainance most of
the Debian-Med relevant packages and basically thanks to his (besides
Steffen Möller's and Nelson Oliveira's) efforts these are collected
in the alioth svn at [2]. Charles is very active in fixing bugs
in SVN to help out other people. If he would get upload permission
this would just speed up things and I would vote for granting him
upload permissions for all Debian-Med related packages. His activity
regarding Debian-Med work can be viewed at the Debian-Med developer
information page [3].

Finally Charles did a good job in creating and maintaining the
Debian-Med wiki and does a quite active job in defining goals and
strategies[4].

Kind regards

           Andreas.
