"Expired" has close to the right meaning, but also sounds harsh...
and final.  Better than "rejected", though.  "Two expirations"?

"Timed out" is even closer in terms of meaning.  Sounds a bit
awkward?  Although "two timeouts" doesn't sound too bad.
