Report for new developer applicant Jack Moffitt <jack@xiph.org>:

Summary: accept

1. Background

   Jack writes about his background:

   > I was using Linux in college and with a friend decided to write Icecast,
   > a streaming media server. We decided to make it open source because it
   > seemed like a fun thing to do. After the sucess of that project, I was
   > hooked on open source forever. I've been using Linux for about 6-7
   > years, and for about the lsast 3 years, pretty much exclusively. I

   > I am involved in several free software projects. Most notably, I help
   > run Xiph.org which produces open multimedia standards and implementations

   > will also assist Tor and Ralph in packaging Ghostscript which I am also
   > quite involved with. Secondly, I hope to get more involved with Debian

   > up gadfly, but it seemed that someone already adopted it. I've already

2. Philosophy and Procedures
Jack has a good understanding of Debians Philosophy and
Procedures. He answered all my Questions about Social Contract,
DFSG, BTS etc. in a good way.

3. Tasks and Skills
Jack is Maintainer of ipython, which is currently in
Debian; he is sponsored by kmr, who also advocated him.
Jack has also done an NMU (sponsored by fog) of icecast-client.
   Both of those look fine.

His answers to my T&S questions were quite ok.

4. Recommendation
I recommend to accept Jack as a Debian Developer.
