Background
----------
He works for a company based in Sydney, Australia. His company uses
Debian as base os for the boxes (broadband internet access boxes)
they build. He moved recently from Belgium.

He started to use linux around 6 years ago by simple C programming. He
went to uni, studied analyst programmer courses, got specialized in
networking. He then have been hired by Cisco Systems and worked there in
the TAC for 2 years, reaching a mix lead/development role at the end.
Then he has been senior software engineer in a startup company working
on RT-Bsd embedded equipment in the optical networking area (DWDM,
SDH/Sonet). He used linux all the long, as server and workstation OS.

His main interest is networking oriented and precisely in the security
and network management area.

Apart packaging software, his goal is to produce some things for the
distribution: the ipv6 projects is definitively looks interesting to
him. another thing is the debian security response team. He has been
dealing with such issue at cisco as he was in the support organization
for security product (pix, ipsec, ids mainly).
