Identification Check Passed Policy and Procedures --------------------- Bernhard and I discussed the Social Contract and the DFSG. He demonstrated to me that he understands the principles and extent of these documents, and that he is aware of the responsibilities of a debian maintainer. He also explicitly agreed to abide by the DMUP. He also answered some questions on copyrights and licenses to my satisfaction. Policy and Procedures Check Passed Tasks and Skills ---------------- Bernhard already has a sponsored package in unstable - cuyo which is a tetris-like game with explosive effects. I took a "close" (it was a little distracting - because the game is a bit addictive) look at this package and find it lintian clean and satisfactory. He is also working and helping out with the packaging of the Openoffice.org suite for debian. His advocate Ingo Saitz has the following to say about him: <quote> I mainly know Bernhard Link from the irc channel #debian.de on IRCnet, but I also remember him as an able member on several Debian related mailing lists. </quote> Bernhard has read through the documents covering the Debian BTS. He wants to be involved in maintaining packages. He has used debian for some years now has been using debian package tools for many local and proprietary programs in his institute.
