Summary: accept Christophe Barba is a french engineer. Normally he live in Paris but live in Philadelphia (US Pennsylvannie) for three years. In paris he was working for Lineo. He was part of a team working on a High Availability Server on CompactPCI hardware using linux. He was in charge of the kernel (slighty modifieid for our hardware), a virtual ethernet driver to do TCP/IP over the compactPCI backplane and was also working on a distributed filesystem called GFS (from sistina) until sistina changed its licensing to a closed one. He started using linux 3 or 4 years ago with a suse. He was not happy with the fs layout which was different from other distrib (but happy with the number of packages). He switched to RedHat (5.X) and was not satisfied and frustrated by the rpm hunt, constentky search in rpmfind to discover new required packages and new conflicts. He tried debian potato shortly after its release and adopted it quickly. Since he has learned a lot and continue to do so. He has provided a few unofficial packages mozilla and galeon for potato and finally switch to sid (a year ago). He has contributed to debian by adding bug report in BTS and by participating to the mailing list. He feel the need to do more.
