Right, because the version in woody is gnupg_1.0.3-2.deb,and has a
depends:
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.1.94), zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.3), makedev (>= 2.3.1-13)
So if you want to stay on potato, do not install the deb. Get the
source and compile on your potato system!!
