Package: supercollider Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: forrest.cahoon@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, I use pipewire to provide jackd emulation on my system. When I went to install supercollider, it insisted on installing jack packages as dependencies. I opted to build from upstream sources instead, but I'd prefer to use the debian package if it didn't install unneeded dependencies. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.3-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages supercollider depends on: pn supercollider-ide <none> pn supercollider-language <none> pn supercollider-server <none> Versions of packages supercollider recommends: pn supercollider-supernova <none> supercollider suggests no packages.

This bug can be closed now. Agreed, and that was the right place to introduce this substitute functionality :) I hope this means that pipewire-jack no longer crashes Ardour!
