puredata-improt fails to cross build from source, because it uses the
wrong strip during make install. Ususally, the best solution is to
simply defer stripping to dh_strip as that also makes generation of
-dbgsym packages work. In this case however, dh_strip misses the
relevant object, so we pass the correct strip instead. Please consider
applying the attached patch.
