Bug#1117509: vlc stops playing when the audio output is switched automatically (regression)

Control: reassign -1 wireplumber 0.5.11-1
Control: severity -1 important
Control: retitle -1 wireplumber 0.5.11 makes VLC stop playing when the audio output is switched automatically (regression)

I recall the context and the issue, then add some information:

I have external Bluetooth speakers (always connected) and a Bluetooth
headset (either on or off). When I play an audio stream, the audio
goes to the headset by default, otherwise to the speakers (when the
headset is off). The switch is automatic.

With wireplumber 0.5.11-1, VLC now generally stops playing when
the switch occurs, as if I had clicked on the Pause button, i.e.
the button showing 2 vertical lines ‖ automatically changes to
the right black triangle ▶. I have to click on the Play button
again.

According to https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=167012
the bug is not in VLC.

Downgrading the wireplumber packages to 0.5.10-3 solves the problem
with VLC, so I suppose that this is due to wireplumber. Re-upgrading
wireplumber to 0.5.11-1 makes the problem appear again.
