Package: forked-daapd
Version: 26.4+dfsg1-1+b2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I remote control forked-daapd via mpc on the command line.

Since a couple of months (excuse my laziness) mpc generates a warning
every time it connects to forked-daapd:
> warning: MPD 0.19 required

Most of the commands are working anyway - the warning is just an
annoying "feature".

If I run 'mpc version' it reports that forked-daapd uses mpd verion
0.18.0:
> $ mpc version
> warning: MPD 0.19 required
> mpd version: 0.18.0

The mpc version I use is the latest in testing:
Package: mpc
Version: 0.33-1

One command which does not work anymore is the relative seek. All seek
values are interpreted as absolute values.
Worse: relative values to seek backwards (starting with a '-') are
interpreted as negative absolute values which causes forked-daapd to
stop playing and removes all songs from the playlist.
> forked-daapd[5863]: [ LOG] mpd: Error executing command 'seekcur': Failed to seek current song to time -6000 msec

I think this bug can be fixed easy with an update to the latest version.
The changelog for forked-daapd
<https://github.com/ejurgensen/forked-daapd/releases>
states in version 26.5:
> mpd version 0.20 support

Thanks for your work!
Tom

Version: mpd/0.19-1

This should long be resolved and has nothing to do with forked-daapd.
