It is unfortunate that the XML output changed without warning. I have been
in touch with upstream, and while he agrees that the XML output changed
in an incompatible way, he do not plan to keep the old format. In fact
he is contemplating to drop the XML output completely in favour of CSV.

I believe it is both too late for this, and that we lack the man-hours
needed to maintain a separarate 0.5 package with no upstream support
in Debian.
Sorry about this, but I believe the users of XML will have to move to
the new format.
