This works fine here (with a non-German IP address, by the way).


Does the connection problem affect gnutls-cli as well?

This is only showing the errors. Try with 'vlc -vv'.

The error here is ostensibly caused by the local user stopping playback.

And this is an failure from the IP routing table returned by the kernel... 
typically caused by actual connectivity problems.
